Explorations in Neurobiology of the Psychosocial

I am invested in the sciences that explore why people act or react the way they do in life situations and, as such, much of my research and teaching centres the human condition. 

My seminal research on Caribbean's achievement in Britain focuses on the development and deployment of psychosocial resources and resilience in domains of socialisation. In this work, I offer insights that integrate findings in biology, neuroscience, psychology, and sociology.

My theoretic lens curves towards socio-cultural and bio-psychosocial schemas, through which I have developed my appreciation for matters of the mind, archetypes of consciousness, and developmental needs across our lifespan. In addition to my expertise in case studies, psychological introspection, and insights in family history and individuals’ psychosocial worlds, I am encouraged by an affinity for ethnography, intergenerational narratives, and longitudinal approaches that engage both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
